How do I find out about upcoming programs, camps and clinics?
All upcoming events will be advertised on the website and flyers about the event will be distributed at schools and athletic events.
What ages of children are accepted?
Age of participants’ 7-17 boys and girls.
May a family receive a discount if there are two or more children enrolled?
Families with two or more kids receive a discount.
Are there any scholarship options if we can't afford the program?
There are scholarships for kids who can’t afford the program.
How involved is Derick Polk?
Derick Polk is very involved in the coaching and overseeing camps along with Coach Charles Smith. Both will be at the camp instructing the kids.
What kind of basketball and life skills are taught?
Life skills are taught by Derick Polk through the game of basketball. Hard work, dedication, doing well in school, and how to handle the emotions when things get difficult.
May parents attend?
Parents can stay but we insist that the parents not get involved. We do not want them to be a distraction.
What makes the program special?
The Derick Polk program teaches kids the game of basketball and is available to help those who want to play at the next level by contacting coaches in high school or college. Derick is a firm believer in his program: when a participant leaves, he/she is prepared for his journey.
